Corrina Chandler is a woman who enjoys old things: genealogy, antiques and her recently-purchased colonial farmhouse. When clearing an area in her rear yard for a garage, she and her friends unearth an old foundation that predates her home’s construction. Their disturbance of the foundation is the call that awakens a little girl who was persecuted as a witch in 1692. She returns with pure hatred for the clergy, the law and anyone related to the reign of terror under which she lived and died.
